Preguntas de Residencia Médica

Ya sé que es díficil pensar en las preguntas de la residencia médica si ni siquiera hemos pasado el step 1, pero creo que es importante que conozcamos un poco de las preguntas que nos pueden llegar a hacer y en lo personal es un excelente ejercicio de motivación y reafirmación a mi vocación, no cabe la menor duda que adoro lo que hago, no me imagino en otra profesión.

Les dejo una listita de las preguntas que nos harán cuando estemos en el proceso! (emoción total). Por cierto es muy raro escribir mis introducciones en español y las preguntas en inglés, pero espero comprendan que se harán en inglés y debemos de estar relacionados con el idioma que no!

Preguntas a la facultad

Debemos saber todas las responsabilidades, derechos y menesteres en los que estaremos involucrados.

• What type of non clinical responsabilities are there?
• Is there time to do research? If you need to present at a national conference, will the department pay for your way to be there?
• Is there trainning in administrative and legal aspects?
• Are there any skills lab?
• How are procedures reported and credentialed?
• Is there conference time? Is there protected time?
• Who does specific procedures?

Preguntas a los residentes

Es importante que hagamos preguntas a los resistentes para saber como anda el programa y cómo es la resolución de problemas

• How is the faculty coverage?
• How involved is the faculty in the cases?
• How much didactic time is there? Is there time for lectures?
• Is parking a problem?
• Where do people live?
• Is there research time?
• Do the residents work out as a group?
• What is there a problem, does the faculty stands up for the resident?
• What is the call schedule? Is a home call or hospital call?
• What has higher priority conference attendance or clinical duties?
